With the Cascina Ornati you inhabit a historical vinery in Monforte d’Alba. What presented itself as a ruin some years ago, shines as a historical ensemble with completely restored buildings and an inviting courtyard today. This courtyard is surrounded by a privately owned single house, the guest house offered here and oppositely by a long stretched building with two other holiday apartments. You look at a hilly landscape with vineyards, hazelnut and fruit groves, reaching out to the snowy Maritime Alps on the horizon. After 15 minutes of walking you are in the center of Monfort d’Alba with small shops, a bank and pharmacy, a swimming pool as well as numerous bars and restaurants. The castle offers a marvelous view and hosts a small fine jazz festival in summer. Hiking, cycling, motorcycle touring, horseback riding, golf and, above all, the various culinary delights from kitchen and cellar are only some of the good reasons for a holiday in this region. Nearby towns like Alba and Asti invite you for a visit. In the Western Alps approx. 45 km away you can also do mountain hiking, rafting and winter sports.
